New Decision Of The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons on BBL

BBL, brazilian butt lift, which entered our lives with the Kardashian Family and inspired many women thanks to them, is on the agenda.

Due to the high number of deaths in 2018, it was banned in the country by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

32 Deaths Occurred

BBLIn the research conducted by BAAPS in 2017, it was published that a total of 692 surgeons reported 32 deaths due to post-BBL fat embolism.

They had warned the British public, saying that 1 in 3,000 operations resulted in death or had costly emergency complications.

But Now British Women Go Abroad For BBL

A different procedure is now being proposed to replace BBL, and they encourage superficial gluteal lipofilling (SGL).

They say that the SGL operation is a lighter version, the fat taken from the patient is injected under the skin, and it is safer.

"So, no to BBL but yes to Superficial Gluteal Lipofilling (SGL), where the fascia is not compromised," says Marc Pacifico, President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
